The
Live the Day Family Gets Fit to Help Animals in Need
Our
Live the Day Team Participated in the Furry
Scurry on May 3rd at Washington Park in Denver.
And we had a great time too. This event raised over $800,000
for the Denver
Dumb Friends League. We feel great that we participated
in helping so many animals in need. In the first quarter of
2008, we exercised as a group with our Personal Trainer, Jennifer
Schumm of Greenwood Athletic Club. Whew! Jen gave us quite a
workout -- but it was so worth it.
We
took our dogs, Jack, Kodi and Buddy; You know, the ones we talk
about like they're our children on the show! They all had a
super fun time walking around the park together and making new
friends.
All
said, the event turned out 10,000 people and 4,000 dogs! And
we must say, the dogs got along exceptionally well for the sheer
number of animals present! No fights or scuffles that we could
see. We have since decided that we're doing this event again
next year and we've already been recruiting other interested
people to join us too.
We
even wore our KKZN
AM760 T-shirts
which prompted a few folks to come up and talk to us about the
show!
