Jo
Myers is married with two grown sons.
For three decades-23 years in Denver-Jo has enjoyed a major-market
radio career. She has also graced the airwaves of Atlanta,
Nashville, Cincinnati, and South Florida. In January of
2007, she left radio in order to complete her book, Good
to Go: The ABCs of Death and Dying, The Ultimate
Planning Guide for Baby Boomers and Their Parents.
Jo's mom died in 1992. Eleven years later, her dad died.
A short time later, Jo lost two more elders --a beloved,
childess aunt and a dear, longtime friend. During the grieving
process for each loss, there were questions. Jo got answers
from experts and other baby boomers, combined them with
her journals to create a use-friendly guide for pre-planning
the end of life. She is currently gathering stories from
others for her next book, Good to Go, Too.
Jo performs standards from the 1930s and '40s with her band,
"Jo Myers and the Mama's Boys." She is also a
folk singer, accompanies herself on guitar and writes parody
songs.
Jo lives by a cemetery in Centennial, Colorado, and has
pre-planned for death. She is good to go.
